Usage Guide

Getting Started

1. Download and Install

• Download Time-Check from the App Store
• Install on your iOS device (iOS 14+ required)
• Launch the app to begin setup

2. Email Verification

• Enter your work email address when prompted
• Check your email for a verification code
• Enter the verification code in the app
• Your email is now verified for receiving requests

3. Calendar Permissions

• Grant calendar access when prompted
• Select “Allow” for read-only calendar access
• Choose which calendars to include in availability sharing
• Time-Check only reads busy/free information - never meeting details

4. Background Settings

• Enable Background App Refresh for automatic processing
• Allow push notifications for availability requests
• Configure notification preferences

Using the App

Receiving Availability Requests

Automatic Processing

• Requests are processed automatically in the background
• Your device checks for new requests periodically
• No manual intervention required for most requests

Manual Check-In

• Open the app to manually check for pending requests
• Tap “Check for Requests” to refresh
• View request status and processing history

Notification Options

• Silent Processing: Requests processed without notifications
• Request Alerts: Get notified when new requests arrive
• Completion Alerts: Get notified when responses are sent

• Time-Check automatically reads your calendar availability
• Only busy/free time slots are accessed - never meeting details

Making Availability Requests

Request Process

1. Identify Target: Know the person’s work email address
2. Submit Request: Use web interface or API to submit request
3. Wait for Processing: Target’s device processes the request
4. Retrieve Response: Get encrypted availability data
5. Decrypt Locally: View availability on your device

Web Interface

• Visit the Time-Check website
• Enter target email address and your anonymous ID
• Specify date range for availability check
• Submit request and wait for processing

API Integration

• Use the Time-Check API for programmatic requests
• Generate anonymous device IDs
• Submit encrypted availability requests
• Retrieve and decrypt responses

Anonymous Device IDs

Troubleshooting

Calendar Access Problems
